Easy Sweet and Sour Pork Chops
I am always looking to cook something different and easy to have for dinner. After a long day at work to me simple and easy is best, but it also has to taste great.
I discovered this recipe years ago when I was younger, it was something my mom used to make and has stuck with me all these years.
To me it says home and is also great comfort food. It's fast, easy, and delicious!
You can add as many pork chops and sauce that you like for this recipe, but this one is based on 2 chops. If you add 2 more double the recipe for the sauce and so forth.
- 2 Thick cut pork chops
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. mustard
- 1/2 c. water
- 2 tablespoons butter or margerine
- salt and pepper to taste
In a bowl combine brown sugar, water, and mustard and mix.
In a frying pan heat the butter on low as to not burn, add the pork chops and fry on both sides till chops are brown but not done.
Add the brown sugar mixture to the chops and continue to cook until brown sugar mixture is thick and covers the chops.
Serve with your favorite side dish.
