Easy healthy receipts: braised cabbage

Cast your vote for braised cabbage

This is a low calories recipe, ideal if you want to watch your figure, it can be served as accompaniment for a grilled steak or fish. It is a receipt from my mother, I am not a big fan of cabbage, but she loves it and asked me to post it online. So, here it is mom!

Cook time: 20 min
Ready in: 25 min
Yields: Enough for around 3 people


  • 500 gr Cabbage, chopped
  • 1 apple, chopped
  • 1 onion, shredded
  • 1 yogurt
  • nutmeg
  • salt and pepper


  1. Place half of the cabbage in a baking dish.
  2. Spread half the apple and onion, and spread half the yogurt and add salt and pepper.
  3. Put the other layer of cabbage, apples and onion and cover with the remaining yogurt and spread the nutmeg.
  4. Bake at medium heat for 20 minutes or until it looks good grilled.
