Fallin' for Apples this Fall!

Fall is here and what does it mean? Lots and lots of APPLES!!!

We drive far to the country and get off to an apple orchard farm. Everyone gets so excited to ride that jiggly farmer's wagon dropping everyone at the wide variety apple orchards. Searching for the right apple, finding the taste that you crave for having, and picking the ones you wish to incredibly turn into magic for the family to savour. This hub offers other fresh apple "A+" ideas rather than the ordinary traditional granny's apple pie. One could be more creative in the kitchen and make use of the APPLE which was in the first place, a tempting fruit shared to the first man and woman from the Garden of Eden.

The Forbidden Fruit...a sweet twist

Eve accepted the forbidden fruit from the serpent, gave it to Adam and so the history of the apples began...

Eve was given the fruit of knowledge so she may know what to do with it. She took a sophisticated bite and convinced Adam to take the next bite. Right at the same moment, their eyes were opened seeing more possibilities from ONE damn good apple. Mankind then was was Eve's apple skills that made the world go round...

A Lifetime of Sweetness

In Greek mythology, you will come across these words many times-- "The Food of the Gods". What exactly is "Food of the Gods"? Ambriosia, is sometimes the food or drink of the Greek gods in believing to becoming immortal, to live ageless forever whomever eats and drinks from it. The gods were always served so much bountiful ambrosia choices and one of these choices is the apple.

Just over our Thanksgiving Day dinner (Monday, October 8), my daughter and I tested making a Chicken Apple Pizza with only the available ingredients I had that time. However, I would like to give credit to a fellow hubber- teaches12345 for her idea on a delicious looking Chicken Apple Pizza dessert I know that I didn't have the right stuff to try on her recipe, so I opted instead of the ones I got and simply made my version of a chicken-apple pizza!

Main ingredients: chicken breast strips, red apple, loads of mozzarella and cheddar cheeses, onions and fresh scallions. I had a ready rectangular pizza dough that I was able to use.

vespawoolf, it is nice to see you fall by. I have already made the Chicken Apple Pizza for our Canadian Thanksgiving and it was delicious! Thanks to teaches12345 for sharing her delicious chicken apple pizza idea, but I made a version from the ingredients that I had in my kitchen that night. I will add a photo soon.

And the apple nachos, yes, that would be a nice treat too! Have an apple sweetness day!

Wow, the apple nachos sound especially unique and delicious! When I was a child and my parents took me to country fairs, candied apples were my favorite treat. Now I prefer caramel apples because they're easier to eat! Thank you for the links to these delicious recipes.

Hi moonlake! I just made a BBQ Chicken and Apple Pizza tonight for our Thanksgiving and added caramelized onions too. Garnished with fresh scallions right after the pizza was baked. It was deliciously great! Thank you for enjoying the hub and for voting up. Cheers!

Happy Monday, HAPPY THANKSGIVING, epigramman, dear Colin!

You have mentioned about my hubber score of a hundred on my other hub last night, but then it didn't really hit my head until you mentioned it again here. I thought, what is epi talking about- a hubber score? So I did went to check my profile page and underneath my photo is the number 100. Is it something special for me, I wondered again. Then I thought of checking about Hubber Score from HP's Learning Centre. I made a few clicks to my hubs on "stats" which I never had set my eyes on before. But ooh, the hubber score do fluctuates. I hope I could retain it. With your announcement of my hubber score, I will become watchful from this time on. Focus. Focus, coffee! Don't do any hocus-pocus. You're on your way to the top of the hill, epigramman and then, you can shout to the whole World with your cats on your shoulders! Imagine that, lol! Really, imagine that.

Thank so much for your power to flatter me because it works every time, hahaha. Yes, it does! And believing in me and my little writings. :)

Here's wishing you a beautiful walk around the bay. Soon, I will be heading to do some magic in the kitchen for tonight's Thanksgiving dinner. I will try the BBQ Chicken and Apple Pizza with extra touches and cook Ham in Pineapple Sauce. Gobble-Gobble I had last night from a dinner invitation and it was really good!

I'm biting on a few Spring Rolls I made last night, and I guess dinner will be a little late tonight since every one else had something to eat earlier. Happy Thanksgiving to you once again and treat Little Miss Tiffy and Mister Gabriel some few dinner pieces and they'll love you more for it. Have a good evening.

I feel like your poor hillbilly cousin with a hub score of 89 and here you reside in the mansion on the hill with a perfect 100.

But seriously I am so proud of you because you put so much time and effort into you world class hub presentations (literally) and this is the most definitive 'apple' hub I've ever come across and believe me I should know because I have a PHD in 'Apple Hubs' and each and everyone of them is 'rotten to the core' and although 'one bad apple doesen't spoil the whole bunch' believe me - they are all bad and they are all rotten - but each hub you so artfully conceive and design and write is like another crown jewel in your Hub resume/tiara - and this resume has an author and photographer who is my ideal of a 'brainy beauty' with enough personality and charm to save this world - well at least the hub world. lol

Blah day by the lake - the sun wants to hide behind clouds and the wind is picking up - I have a feeling that as Canadians - our goose is cooked in terms of goodbye summer and hello fall as a prelude to winter - please keep warm my friend for you are worth it - be good to yourself - and I am off for a walk now around the bay - perhaps a writer's walk - yes- and I will leave my two sleeping pussycats behind - Little Miss Tiffy and Mister Gabriel -and bid you farewell for now - and a very sincere Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours - and thank you for coming into my life here at the Hub - lake erie time 4:29pm

No doubts, apple pies are always good, billybuc! I love pumpkin pies too! I'm just not into baking, so I buy the commercialized ones which could not compete with the homemade pies.

Thank you so much! Have an apple a day!

I love apples and just published a hub on apple pizza last week because I had a big bag of them. You can only benefit from eating these sweet fruits. Great hub post and references.
