French onion soup meatloaf (brown meatloaf)".
French Onion soup Meatloaf ( Brown meatloaf & gravy) recipe
2 pds.lean ground beef or turkey
1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
1/2 cup chopped onions
1/2 can milk
2 pkgs. french onion soup or plain onion soup
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. blk. pepper
1 garlic clove crushed
1 cup bread crumbs or crumbled up crackers
1 Tbs. corn starch
1 cup water
Mix ground beef or turkey, bread crumbs or cracker crumbs, bell peppers, onions, salt,onion
soup, blk.pepper and garlic and mix ingredients by hands until blended. put meat loaf in
oblong pyrex dish or pan.
Shape the meatlof in the pan or dish with your hands. Mix corn starch and water and pour over
meatloaf and put in oven bake at 375 degrees and baste meatloaf continously for an hour
until mealoaf is brown and firm with it's own gravy. you might have to thin the gravy with a
little water if needed.
This is a great meat loaf, especially with mashed potaotes.
