Creamy Ginger Chicken With Plain Rice

Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg Chicken, Boneless
  • 1/2 Cup Ginger
  • 2 Onion, Chopped
  • 4 tbsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1/2 tbsp Turmeric
  • 3 tbsp Coriander Powder
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • 1/1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Cumin, Heaped
  • 1/2 Cup Tomato Puree
  • 4 tbsp Cream
  • 4 Green Chillies, Sliced
  • 1/4 Cup Coriander Leaves, Chopped
  • 1/4 Cup Fenugreek Leaves, Chopped
  • 1 tbsp Garlic Paste
  • 1/2 Cup Oil
  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • 1/4 Cup Chicken Stock
  • 5 tbsp Ketchup
  • 3 tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 1/4 Cup Milk
  1. In a pan, heat oil. Add chopped onions and cook until they are light golden in colour.
  2. Then add cumin, ginger and garlic paste and cook it for a minute.
  3. Take chicken and add it in the pan and cook it until the chicken is tender.
  4. Once chicken is tender, add tomato paste, chicken stock, ketchup, red chilli powder, coriander powder, salt, black pepper and turmeric to it. Cook until the gravy is thick,
  5. In a bowl mix cream, mayonnaise and milk together. Add the creamy mixture to the chicken.
  6. Lastly add fenugreek leaves and butter, cover the pan and leave it for 5 minutes on low heat.
  7. After 5 minutes turn off the heat and garnish with coriander leaves and ginger and green chillies.
  8. Serve it with plain rice or parhatha.
