This may be the easiest green bean recipe!

Green Beans with Garlic Butter

I am always on the lookout for healthier alternatives to include in our family meals. While this recipe has butter, it also calls for fresh green beans. By all estimates, we all need more colorful vegetables in our diets. Our health and well being depend on it.

I like the classic green bean recipes like green bean casserole, but this green bean recipe is a great alternative and so fast and easy.

Consider using this simple recipe the next time you need to add a healthy side to your meal. In the looks department, you can't go wrong with adding another color to your plate. Round out your next meal by trying this recipe and tweaking it some if need be to your own liking.

Easy Green Beans in Garlic Butter

Serves 6

Two pounds of fresh green beans, ends snipped and halved.

One cup of chicken broth

Kosher or sea salt and cracked black pepper,to taste

Four cloves of garlic, sliced very thin (or to taste, that might be a bit much for some people.)

One quarter cup of butter, melted

In a pot, add chicken broth, salt and pepper, and bring that to a boil. Add your halved green beans and heat through until a little tender. Stir often. Drain.

Next, saute the garlic in the butter in a small skillet until golden in color. Pour this over the cooked green beans. Toss it evenly to coat thoroughly.

Serve warm with your meal.

Hello Hazelwood, I am so glad you stopped by my hub. I love Texas Roadhouse, but haven't been there enough lately to recall the beans. I will need to try those soon. I can't wait to see your knock off recipe from there. My husband loves to take a favorite recipe like that, and make it his own, until he is happy with it.

Thank you for your comment. :)

This green bean recipe sounds really delicious. My wife and I will give this one a try soon. I am bookmarking this one for later use too. I am a big fan of Texas Roadhouse Green Beans, and I will be posting my knock off recipe very soon!
