Cast your vote for Green Souse

There are many things which are difficult to eat without dips because of their texture like they are rough or dry. So we make dips which add to the taste and texture of the food items. I also want to share a very tasty dip recipe which is very spicy and tastes really good with samosas, low spice rice, filled parathas and filled naan. Even is you want to make your pizza a little spicy, you can add this dip to it as well. Now lets go to our dip recipe..

Cook Time

Prep time: 30 min
Ready in: 30 min
Yields: 5 persons

  • 1 cup Mint leaves
  • 1 cup Coriander leaves
  • 5 large Green chili
  • 1 tbs Salt
  • 2 tbs Cumin seeds
  • 1 large piece Garlic
  • 5 tbs Tamarind, juice

  1. If you have tamarind juice add it in grinder. If not then take 4 tbs tamarind in a bowl, add 3/4 cup water and leave it for 20 minute. Now take a strainer and stain juice out of seeds of tamarind.
  2. Take Green Chili, Coriander and Mint leaves, wash them. Now add salt and cumin seeds in Grinder along with Green Chili, Coriander and Mint leaves.
  3. Grind all these things properly. If you want to have its full taste in purely traditional way then use your grinding stone and grind manually. Dip is ready, serve it with low spice snakes.

Coriander and Mint leaves if added in any thing they add its beauty, flavor and nutrition value. So obviously if being used together in pure form they will prove wonder not only taste wise but will be a healthy addition to the food. This dip it rich in nutrition, good for immune system and prevents from cough and cold. Its intake will improve appetite. Could be given to patients suffering from stomach issues.
