Whey Protein + Soy Milk + Your Favorite Fruit = Smoothie of the Day...Week...or Month!!

Updated on June 22, 2013

Hello to all of the smoothie enthusiasts out there. I enjoy HubPages because it allows me the experience to learn and explore subjects that I would normally not pay much attention to.

I was exploring different types of protein and decided to investigate whey protein. Whey protein is known for its high amount of essential amino acids. Amino acids help the body functions with repairing injuries, building muscles, providing a good source of energy, and helping with stabilizing one's metabolism. Whey protein smoothies are great for athletes who need high energy levels and muscle growth to compete or to reach their fitness goals. During times when you are dieting, whey protein is a good source of protein because it has little fat content.

Here are some my favorite smoothies, and I hope everyone will enjoy them as much as I do!

Have Fun with Your Whey Protein Fruity Smoothie

1 cup of soy milk (plain or vanilla)
1 cup of ice
2 scoops of whey protein powder
1 cup of your choice of low-fat yogurt
1 cup of frozen mixed berries
1 cup of your choice of blueberries or strawberries

Directions:

Blend soy milk, ice, whey protein powder, and yogurt at a high speed to make sure the ice is completely blended. Add the blueberries or strawberries and the frozen mixed berries last for assured freshness. If you are the only one enjoying this smoothie recipe, you should reduce the ingredient amounts in half to eliminate waste. Garnish with fruit or mint for extra added taste.

You can be as creative as you choose to be by using your favorite fruit and yogurt choices for each smoothie creation. You can make it a fun, creative, healthy, and great-tasting experience for you and others to try as well.

Sometimes you feel like a Nutty Whey Protein Smoothie

1 cup almonds (raw and unsalted)
1 cup raisins (regular or golden)
1 cup of vanilla low-fat yogurt
2 scoops of whey protein powder
1 cup of soy milk (vanilla or almond)
1 cup ice

Directions:

Blend the almonds, raisins, yogurt, whey protein powder, soy milk, and ice together. Make sure the almonds, raisins, and ice are completely blended. If you are the only one enjoying this smoothie recipe, you should cut the ingredient amounts in half to eliminate waste. Also, you may choose your favorite soy milk flavor to make this smoothie your creative and great-tasting creation. Garnish with cinnamon or nutmeg to spice things up alittle.

Tropical Paradise
Tropical Paradise

That's what is so fun and artistic about smoothies. You can replace your fruits to make it a tropical tasting sensation and let your imagination take you to somewhere tropical. Especially with the summer season coming up, this idea would be perfect as a pool party recipe adding pineapple, mango, coconut or other tropical fruits. Smoothies are an awesome way to treat yourself at anytime of the day.

Here's a great website to check out that has many awesome and unique, great-tasting smoothie recipes!

Here's hoping that all of you enjoy your smoothies in the delicious smoothie land paradise. Please feel free to share with me about your favorite time to have your favorite smoothie creation!
