HOBA SUSHI AND HIBACHI GRILL RESTAURANT in Greensboro, North Carolina – A Restaurant Review

HOBA Sushi and Hibachi Grill Restaurant is located on Elmsley Ct. in Greenboro, North Carolina. HOBA Sushi and Hibachi Grill Restaurant is rather non-descript with neon lighted signage, located off of a large parking lot, among several other restaurants and businesses. Towards the front of the interior of HOBA restaurant is some seating for individuals waiting to pick up to-go food orders. This area at the front of the restaurant interior also has a mounted flat screen television. HOBA restaurant also operates in cooperation with Door Dash restaurant food delivery service and some of the people waiting for to-go orders were Door Dash food delivery drivers.

Seating for individuals that are dining-in at Hoba Restaurant is located a further walk back from the front entrance of the restaurant.

On our recent first visit to Hoba Sushi and Hibachi Grill Restaurant on a Saturday early evening in the month of May, our family ordered California roll sushi, the shrimp Pad Thai, and the chicken with walnut sauce that was served with a side of fried rice.

A Thai iced tea beverage that was ordered was a bit disappointing in taste and it tasted more like bubble tea for some reason.

While the beverage was disappointing, the food was very tasty, hot and fresh.

The waiters and waitresses at this restaurant, Hoba Sushi and Hibachi Grill Restaurant, seemed quite polite, thankfully. The interior of the restaurant was just mediocre in appearance and the ambiance was just okay but we did enjoy our food.

While we were there, some teenagers came in dressed in formal attire and it appeared that they had chosen this place to go for dinner before attending their prom! It was certainly interesting to see them come into this very casual dining place. My kids found it very interesting as well. They don’t see people dressed in long formal gowns every day.

All that aside, we enjoyed our food very much while dining at HOBA Sushi and Hibachi Grill Restaurant but I think that this restaurant can benefit from some updates to the interior to make for a nicer atmosphere.

The food prices at Hoba Sushi and Hibachi Grill Restaurant were okay and of course we went there with a coupon in hand. We almost always roll like that when we are dining out! With $10 off from our restaurant coupon use, we spent $28 including tax and tip. It was a good deal.
