Beverage Recipes: How-To Make Really Tasty Protein Smoothies

Healthy Smoothie Drinks

Remember hearing about that scene in "9 1/2 Weeks" with the couple eating different foods erotically on the floor in front of an open frig? You know the one where she was blindfolded and he just kept feeding her without her knowledge of what was to come. Well getting your nutrients in a smoothie is a way you can feed yourself with just one glass.It can be a healthy breakfast, or just a drink for whenever.

1. A blender or smoothie maker

2. Frozen fruits packaged in 1 C bags

3. Frozen yogurt

4. Ice cream

5. Sherbet

6. Fat-free soy or reg. milk

7. Various fruit juices

8. A microwave.

9. Chocolate syrup

10.Protein powder

Here are some new and different smoothie recipes for you to try:

CHOCOLATE COVERED CHERRY

  • 1 C cherry juice
  • 1 C frozen chocolate yogurt
  • 1 C frozen cherries

  • 2 TBSP protein powder ( or 15 gms. protein)
  • 2 TBSP chocolate syrup

Pour the juice in the blender and blend with syrup and protein powder. Add cherries and yogurt a little at a time. Use fork to stir mixture in between blending.

Note: Microwave frozen 1 C fruit bags for apx. 30 sec., or until the fruit separates.


PUSH-UP

  • 1 C orange juice
  • 1 C frozen Mandarin oranges
  • 1 C frozen orange sherbet
  • 2 TBSP protein powder

Blend until mixture can be poured.


ISLAND DREAM

  • 1 C pineapple juice
  • 1 C frozen Mandarin oranges
  • 1 C frozen sliced banana
  • 1/3 C shredded coconut
  • 2 TBSP protein powder

Blend juice, protein powder, and coconut first. Then add fruit and blend again.


BANANA SPLIT

  • 1 C milk

  • 1 C frozen banana slices
  • 1 C frozen strawberries
  • 1 C vanilla frozen yogurt
  • 4 TBSP chocolate syrup
  • 2 TBSP protein powder

Blend juice, protein powder, an chocolate syrup, then add fruit and yogurt.


RASPBERRY SENSATION

  • 1 C pineapple juice

  • 1 C frozen raspberries
  • 1 C frozen vanilla yogurt
  • 2 TBSP protein powder

    Blend juice and protein powder, and then add fruit and yogurt.


    Have fun making these smoothies. Feel free to add or delete certain items according to your taste. If they're too frozen for your taste add a little more liquid.
