Healthy Protein Packed Smoothie
So I have been on the hunt for a while for the perfect smoothie, I have found smoothies that are delicious but are packed with calories and sugar grams. I have also found super healthy smoothies that lacked in the flavor department. But after many weeks of trial and error, I have finally come up with a smoothies that is delicious and healthy. Hope you guys enjoy!
Brookes Blueberry Smoothie
- 1/2 Cup Fat Free Greek Yogurt, I used Fage 0%
- 1 Cup Frozen Blueberries, I like frozen berries for this but you can use fresh
- 1 Cup Unsweetened Almond milk, You can use unsweetened Vanilla as well
- Put all your ingredients into a blender, mix them up and enjoy!
The recipe is just a base recipe. I will definitely be changing up the fruit this summer when the peaches are fresh and juicy.
Also I like my smoothies a little more tart. If you want it a little more sweet then you can add in some vanilla greek yogurt. (Just be careful of any hidden calories in any yogurt!!)
You can also change up the milk, I use unsweetened almond milk because it's a little nutty. But you can use unsweetened Vanilla almond milk, coconut milk, soy milk and even rice milk.
Use what you like and make it your own. Just be sure to read all the nutrition labels and watch for hidden calories, sugar and fat.
