Healthy smoothies are fun to make and healthy smoothies are gratifying to drink. Vegetables, fruit and water are examples of key ingredients for making the healthiest smoothies. The sweetness in the fruits adds nice flavors to the vegetables and there is no need for added refined sugar in the healthy smoothie.
One secret to having healthy smoothies that look appealing and are great for presentation is to stick with similar colors for the ingredients of each smoothie.
- For example, when you are making a healthy smoothie where the main ingredient is a green vegetable such as broccoli, maybe you would like to have an accompanying ingredient that is a fruit with a green or greenish hue.
- I love to match smoothie ingredients according to color at times and this method yields smoothies with very rich and enticing colors, no artificial coloring added. Take a look at that orange one.
- These dynamic colorful drinks become intriguing to the taster and kids are especially excited to try these healthy smoothie drinks.
