Cinnamon & Sugar Bananas

The recipe below is definitely not the fanciest or by any means complicated, but it works and most kids love it. You will find that with young kids, simple works best. At the very bottom is the recipe that was a very complicated version of a this breakfest.

There are so many blogs and articles about healthy recipes, but reality is, most are very complicated. If your like most people, you've probably tried many of them that your family turned their nose up at (like mine have) and are frustrated.

First off, did you know that a medium banana has only 105 calories, 12% of your daily fiber, 17% of your Vitamin C, and best of all no FAT. Bananas are very filling and great for you. Even if you add a teaspoon of sugar, that's only adds 15 additional calories.

Ingredients for a banana Breakfest

Ingredients: This is for a single serving

  • 1 banana
  • 1 plate
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon

I had to add the plate so that it would look like I put some effort into the list :)

Step by step instructions: (total time: 10 seconds)

  • Slice banana into ~1/2 inch slices
  • Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon (I sometime put it in the microwave for ~10 seconds.)
