Applesauce Bars

Hi Gardening Friends

Here is a great recipe that my mother Jean had made all of her life.

1/2 Cup of Crisco

1 Cup of Sugar

1 Cup of Applesauce

2 Cups of Flour

1/2 Teaspoon of Salt

1 Teaspoon of Cinnamon

1 Teaspoon of Nutmeg

1/2 Teaspoon of Cloves

1 Teaspoon of Soda

Stir in 1 Cup of Raisins

1/2 Cup of Nuts

1 Teaspoon of Vanilla

Mix will spread batter in greased 13*9*2 inch pan.

Bake 35-45 minutes in 350 degrees oven

Frost with thin coat of confectioners sugar while warm

Cut into bars.

Makes 2 dozen bars.

You can make these and serve them doing the holidays

Thankgiving and Christmas. I believe your guest would love

to have these bars serve to them when you are entertaining

at the holidays. I hope you try these applesauce bars and you enjoy them like we have during the holidays.

Enjoy and have fun!
