Home Improvement Water Filter Installation Isn't Ugly | Point of Use Water Filtration | Under Sink Water Filters

Updated on March 7, 2015

A beautiful kitchen doesn't have to be hampered with an ugly plastic drinking fountain cabinet. Filtered water doesn't have to be counter top. There are options for great filtered drinking water right in your own home all the while providing convenient and decorative access.

The kitchens below offer perfect examples of what I am talking about. The investment in the fine wood cabinets, wood flooring and even granite counter tops but yet drinking water is white plastic taking up space. And while this spacious kitchen is not needing the room, the aesthetics of the room are greatly compromised with the white plastic cabinet for the filtered drinking water.

A home water filtration system does not have to clutter up the kitchen counter.

Under the counter installations are simple and streamlined. The filtered ozonated system is available with a separate preparation sink faucet that seamlessly fits into both your kitchen décor and your lifestyle.

The separate preparation faucet simply needs from your sink is a separate access hole which many sinks already have provided.

The above photo showcases the installation of the small ozonated water system fits compactly underneath your kitchen sink. The preparation faucet is separate and is the faucet that provides the point-of-use water filtration great for drinking water and eliminating expensive bottled water. That separate faucet with the layered ozonated system behind it also serves as a food sanitizer!

Benefits of Ozonated Water Filter and Food Sanitizer Too!

  • Eliminates expensive bottled water
  • Great tasting water - all too often we think we are hungry when our body is really craving water.
  • Extends the life of sensitive greens while protecting against harmful bacteria

Eliminating bacteria on leafy greens is critical. Extending the life of the leafy greens is an added bonus to your food budget whether at home or in the restaurant/professional setting.

Water and Liberal Allowance of Time

The finest workers in stone are not copper or steel tools, but the gentle touches of air and water working at their leisure with a liberal allowance of time.

Drinking Water Systems - Underneath and Convenient

Fresh, clean, sanitized drinking water does not have to be cumbersome in the kitchen. While appearance should not be the first concern, safety should always rule, the convenience of having a clear counter top, an unencumbered floor space offers the kitchen space better utilization.

There is so much talk of granite counter tops and eliminating plastic water bottles but where is the discussion of the water filtration moving to a functional space underneath the sink? Water is essential to our health and yet one of the best tools for the kitchen, a water filtration system is often missing from our homes.

Yes, the United States has some of the best water in the world. And Americans have one of the highest standards of living and yet the one item that can help our human body, fresh, sanitized water has not become an item of interest.

It took years for fitness to come to the forefront for our American culture, it will take years and probably a water shortage to truly appreciate the ozonated water. Here in the United States we have seen a shortage in heating supplies especially propane but water remains plentiful. Ozone is similar to the bacteria and fitness, we won't appreciate it until we fully understand its benefits. These intangibles are hard lessons to learn and yet often are the best lessons.

While beauty in the kitchen is often desired, the first concern should be for convenience. Moving the water filtration system under the counter makes sense for busy families for meal preparation.

Two More Solutions

Still looking for cost effective alternatives? Are you building a new home or perhaps renovating your entire kitchen? If so, consider the option at the right. Neatly and conveniently build in an area in your kitchen cabinets to complete house your water cooler.

In one example, they have a pull out drawer built in. In the other example, they have provided an area to access the water spigots without opening the cabinet yet the cabinet completely surrounds the remainder of water cooler.

My name is Marinko Ostrogonac worked for Nobel company that sells water filters. I want to press charges against the company for fraud Nobel. Many of my family except for the cheated because they have not set a filter. Many people have paid 200 euros and did not buy a filter, but they were afraid that they will sue them if unpaid.

I do not know whether anyone in the world would like to pay something 500-1000 euros and be fooled. I want the whole world know about this. A company that operates so does not need to exist. I write about this with him haveproven .

Think carefuli breakerlet them into the house to trich you? As my family andmany others. Idecided tell this whole world.

Great article. An undercounter filter is certainly more attractive than a countertop filter.

      Lady_E,

Great question - it depends upon your plumber and your area. Typically the plumber will install it for free.

I prefer my counter top clear and having the unit underneath the sink and a separate preparation faucet.

This is good and definitely saves money. I wonder how much it costs to fit. I don't trust myself to fit it.

      Great Hub, Thanks.
