Homemade Blackberry Cobbler Recipe

Blackberry Custard to me is one of the best desserts ever made. I love blackberries and I just simply love pie so you can see why I think blackberry custard is one of the best desserts I have ever had. I can remember picking blackberries all day to get my grandmother to make blackberry custards. And below I am going to share my Grandmother's recipe for blackberry custard. When the fresh blackberries are in season in your area be sure to make this delicious blackberry custard. And your taste buds and family and friends will thank you.

To make this recipe for blackberry custard you will need.

1. 1 9 inch pie shell.

2. 2 Cups of fresh blackberries.

3. 1 1/2 Cups of white granulated sugar.

4. 1/4 Cup self rising flour.

5. 2 large eggs well beaten.

6. 2/3 of a Cup of evaporated milk.

7. 1 teaspoon real vanilla extract.

For Your Crumb Topping

1. 1/2 Cup white granulated sugar.

2. 1/3 Cup self rising flour.

3. 1/4 Cup margarine.

4. 1 teaspoon real vanilla extract.

Now you will want to toss your berries , 1 1/2 cups white granulated sugar , and 1/4 cup of self rising flour to coat your berries.Place the fruit into your 9 inch pie shell.

Now mix your beaten eggs , evaporated milk , and 1 teaspoon real vanilla extract and pour in the pie shell over the top of your berries.

Mix your crumb topping ingredients together very well and sprinkle over the top of your pie ingredients. Now you will want to cook your pie for one hour in a pre-heated 350 degree oven until done and it looks similar to the slice of blackberry custard above.

And you have now made a delicious blackberry custard. Please feel free to post your comments , tips , and suggestions below now.
