Homemade Chilly Chicken

This is a simple chilly chicken recipe. All the ingredients are divided into three groups for easy preparation and cooking. It can be garnished with chopped coriander, capsicum and carrots. This recipe is more healthy because the vegetables we used in this is not fully cooked. If we use Kashmiri chilly powder instead of ordinary chilly powder, it looks our dish reddish color without adding any coloring agent.

Yields: Serves 4-5 people

First Ingredients

  • 1 kg Chicken
  • 4 Teaspoon Corn flour
  • 2 Egg
  • 1 ½ Teaspoon Soya sauce
  • 1 ½ Teaspoon Ketchup
  • 1 ½ Teaspoon Hot sauce
  • ½ Cube Chicken cube
  • 1 Teaspoon Pepper powder
  • ½ Teaspoon Chilly powder

Second Ingredients

  • 2 Big Onion
  • 1 Teaspoon Garlic, Chopped
  • 2 Capsicum

Third Ingredients

  • 1 Teaspoon Corn flour
  • 1 Teaspoon Soya sauce
  • 1 Teaspoon Ketchup
  • 1 Teaspoon Hot sauce
  • ½ Cube Chicken cube

Wash the chicken and drain it. Cut the chicken into small pieces. Put the all first ingredients to the chicken and mix well with hand. Set aside to marinate for 30 minutes. Heat oil in a pan on low flame, and put the marinated chicken and cover it.

Fry the chicken till golden brown. Take the same fried oil in another pan, and saute the chopped garlic, onion and capsicum. (second ingredients)

Take all the third ingredients in a glass and mix well with the help of a spoon. Put the fried chicken into the sauted vegetables, and pour some water in it.

Then add the third ingredients, which was mixed in the glass. Mix well and sauté until the gravy becomes thick.
