Guacamole Dip

I came up with this delicious Guacamole Dip Recipe by testing out a variety of ingredients until I came up with the perfect dip. This makes a great appetizer for any social gathering. I hope you enjoy it as much as my friends and family.

Ingredients

  • 3 Ripe Avocados, Halved-Pitted-Peeled
  • 2 Limes or Lemons, Juiced
  • 2 Roma Tomatoes, Diced
  • 1 Jalepeno (Optional), Chopped (Remove Seeds for Less Heat)
  • 1/2 Medium Onion, Diced
  • 1 Teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 Teaspoon Kosher or Sea Salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Cumin
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Cayenne
  • 1 Tablespoon Cilantro, Finely Chopped
  • 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Clove Garlic, Minced

Serve with your Favorite Tortilla Chips

Directions for Guacamole Dip

  1. In a large bowl place scooped avocado pulp and lime or lemon juice- toss to coat
  2. Using a fork or potato masher, add salt, Pepper, cumin, cayenne, worcestershire sauce, and mash and mix
  3. Fold in onions, tomatoes, cilantro and garlic
  4. Chill in refrigerator for one hour

    I have learned Peg that I don't care for too much cumin, as it's pretty spicy hot. A little of it is really good though. Thanks for coming by :-)

    The Worcestershire sauce would add a great zip of zaz to this wonderful recipe. I never tried adding cumin, either. Thanks for these tips. I love to use Guacamole in seven layer dip. Up and pinned.

    I've used the recipe in Alice Waters's The Art of Simple Food. It's just a blend of avocados, lime juice, onion, cilantro and salt. Yours sounds like it has a bit more "zip."
