Honey & Soy Marinated Chicken Wings
This chicken marinade is a favourite of my boys. They love the sticky chicken, and our cats love the bones. They always goes down well on a hot day when the BBQ is fired up, and it is so simple to make, and the added freshness of coriander (cilantro) gives it another dimension. Once they're cooked, sprinkle more coriander (cilantro) over the chicken and serve while hot. The meat just falls off the bones. They are also great to pack away and eat cold with salads and crusty bread on a picnic in park with family and friends.
1.5 kg Chicken Wings
1/3 cup Soy Sauce
1/3 cup Honey
1 tbsp Sesame Oil
2 Cloves of Garlic, crushed
1/4 cup Fresh Coriander (cilantro), chopped
Combine soy, honey, sesame oil, and crushed garlic in a small bowl and stir to combine then add the coriander and mix through.
Place the chicken in a non metallic bowl and pour over the marinade. Now give it a good mix to get the chicken pieces well covered in the marinade.
Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.
When it comes to cooking the chicken, you can do it in a pre heated oven at 190c or you can cook them over the BBQ flame grill or hot coals.
