How To Make Chocolate Cream Pie With Creamcheese

Baking from scratch is a project that I have grown accustomed to over the years. My mother had me baking cookies since even before I could see over our counter top. In that regard, I just recently began diving into the world of pies. I had tried my mother's homemade recipe for my very favorite (chocolate cream) for Thanksgiving and decided "Hey, I'm going to give this a try".

The recipe is very simple:

You will need...

-1 brick of regular cream cheese

-sugar

-cocoa

-milk

-almond extract

You start by mashing up the brick of cream cheese in a large mixing boil. You mash it up until it is all the way flat.

Then, you grab your sugar and mix 3/4 a cup of plain sugar in with the cream cheese, mashing them together.

Take 1/4 cup of cocoa, 1/2 cup of milk (any of your choosing) along with 1/2 a tpsn of almond extract, and mix well. I would suggest using a beater for this process as it can take a considerable amount of time trying to perfect this by hand.

Mix until the consistancy is smooth and fluffy.

Place the mixture onto any crust of your chosing.

(I cheated and bought a premade graham cracker crust).

If you want to add cool whip on top you can, or you can whip up your own whipped cream by using some heavy cream and white sugar. You can also add some finishing touches by putting some milk chocolate shavings on top.

You can place in the refridgerator for whenever your ready but it doesn't really need to be refridgerated before it is ready to eat. That is always a bonus.

I'd say this recipe was one of the best I've ever had in regards to chocolate cream pie. I hope you try it and enjoy it.
