How To Make Lollipop Cookies

1 bag (160z) large marshmallows

(about 64)

1/4 cup of butter or margarine

1 box (15.6oz) rice chex or 1 box of (1lb corn chex cereal

about 24 wooden sticks with rounded ends or cookie sticks, if desired gumdrops, if desired

Creamy Vanilla Glaze

1 cup powdered sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

1 tablespoon water or 1 to 2 tablespoons of milk

1.) First, You will need to butter 15x10x1-inch pan.

2.) In a large microwavable bowl, you will microwave the marshmallows and butter on high for 2 to 3 minutes, stiring every minute, until the mixture is smooth.  Stir in the cereal.  Using the buttered back of the spoon or hands, press firmly in the pan.  Let cool for 2 to 3 hours before cutting them into shapes.  Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix all glaze ingrediants with the spoon until they are smooth and spreadable.

3.) Cut them into shapes with 2 1/2 to 3-inch cookie cutters that have been lightly sprayed with coking spray.  Insert a wooden stick about 1 inch into the bottom of each shape, re-shape cut-outs as needed, then decorate thm with glaze and gumdrops.
