How To Peel A Pomegranate

Updated on November 23, 2016

First off this is what a pomegranate looks like. You will find them in the grocery store with the fruit, in my grocery store they are between the bananas and apples.

Get a large bowl of cold water. You will need this so the seeds aren't all over your kitchen!

Cut the pomegranate directly in half, you will open it up and see tons of little seeds.

Place 1/2 of the pomegranate in the bowl under water. Using your fingers carefully rub and loosen all the seeds. Do the same thing with the other half until all the seeds are in the water.

Note: You will see the white floating. That is part of the skin and you can just skim that out before you drain it.

The Aftermath!!!!

Lastly, drain the water from the seeds. Pop them in a airtight container or baggie and your done!

Personally, I like pomegranate on its own just to snack on. But you can put it in yogurt, oatmeal, on cereal and much more.
