◊ Bean sprouts

Instructions on How to Make Chicken Egg Rolls Recipe

Cook chicken breast on medium-low heat with a small amount of water and cooking oil. Depending on how many people you're serving, add as many chicken breasts as you want into a skillet. Add a moderate amount of Lawry's seasoning salt and and a small dash of pepper on the chicken breast while the chicken is cooking this makes it tender and easier to shred as it gets done. Keep turning the chicken pieces over every 15 minutes. It may take about 30-45 minutes for the chicken to become tender enough to shred with a knife while in the pot.

As the chicken breasts are cooking in one pot, begin to cook the cabbage, carrots, and bean sprouts in another pot on medium heat. Shred the cabbage with a knife and add it to a pot that has a small amount of water and 2 teaspoons of butter. Add pre-shredded carrots to the pot of cabbage also add the bean sprouts; and let these 3 ingredients cook for about 20-25 minutes. (If the carrots are not bought pre-shredded, you can shred your carrots with a shredder).

Preheat the oven to 300° once the chicken and cabbage are done.

Now mix and add the chicken, cabbage, carrots, bean sprouts, (optional) onions shredded, into the egg rolls with a tablespoon. The idea is to have more cabbage and carrots than chicken and bean sprouts in each egg roll. Fold the stuffed egg rolls as if making/folding a paper envelope.

Put all folded egg rolls onto a cookie sheet; lightly spray the egg rolls with cooking oil spray. And then put them into the oven for about 10-15 minutes until slightly crispy.

You can make this egg rolls recipe as a main dish, with soy sauce on the side. Or make your egg rolls recipe with rice as a side order, or Chow Mein noodles.
