Cooking Tips: How to Make Whipped Cream

Instruction on what you need to make whipped cream include:

· Whipped cream or double cream

· Metal or a glass bowl but metal bowls are recommended

· Electric hand mixer or wire whisk

Instructions on How to Make Whipped Cream

1) Right at the start, chill the cream, beaters or the whisker and the bowl in the freezer for 10 to 20 minutes. Pour only one cup of whipping cream into the bowl, making sure it’s cold heavy cream along with 1 or 2 teaspoons of the flavorings for each cup of flavouring. Flavourings are optional and depend on your choice. These could include chocolate, fruit, vanilla and mint are some good choices for a greater taste.

2) Using either an electric hand mixer or a standard mixer, beat the cream until the cream is very thick. Standard hand whisking takes longer which is why it is recommended to buy an electric hand mixer or a faster job at making recipes. Whether using a standard hand whisker or electric whisker, always start slow and eventually speed up. Going too fast at first will the cause the whipping cream to splash all over your kitchen! You will realize if you have whipped the cream enough once the whipping cream starts becoming buttery. Avoid overdoing it or it will eventually start breaking up into butter.

3) There you have it! Whipped cream and that was easy wasn’t it everybody!
