How to Cook Chilli Cheese Bites or Nuggets Like Burger King
Chilli Cheese Bites/Nuggets would be a perfect recipe for Saturday evening house party. It will go well with drinks and cocktails. Who will say NO after hearing chilli cheese bites/nuggets like Burger King? Boys would love it and girls would not able to resist even though being on a diet.
Last Christmas when I tried chili cheese bites/nuggets at Burger King for the first time. It was so delicious that I ended up ordering one more in spite being full. While going back home I decided that I am going to make this for next house party. After returning home I was looking for chili cheese bites/nuggets recipe on Google but I couldn't find it exactly then I decided to do it by myself.
I was very excited to make these chili cheese bites/nuggets for the first time.
I tried to make this recipe many times but unfortunately, I couldn't succeed. A few days later I met one of my friends at University who was working at Burger King as a manager. We went for a couple of drinks and I asked him the secret of chili cheese bites/nuggets. He shared a few tips and tricks with me and I tried it the next day. And guess what? It came out perfectly, same like Burger King.
These Chilli Cheese Bites/Nuggets make a delicious appetizer for house parties and it is something which everyone would love to munch on. This recipe is made up of cheese and jalapenos with a coating of breadcrumb mix. These Chilli Cheese Bites/Nuggets are deep fried and best served with mayonnaise or marinara sauce.
When I think of delicious appetizers, I always think of Chilli Cheese Bites or Nuggets. Why don't you give it a try? I am sure you will love it.
- 4 TBSP corn flour
- 70 grams Cheddar cheese
- 3 Jalapeño, chopped
- 1 TBSP Salt
- 2 cups Sil, for Frying
- 2 Large eggs
- 1 cup Breadcrumbs
- 1 TBSP Cilantro leaves
- 1 Teaspoon of baking soda, (For Veg: instead of egg yolk)
- 1 Tablespoon of vinegar, (For Veg: instead of egg yolk)
Cut the cheddar cheese block into bits and squash it then put in large glass bowl.
Place a glass bowl in a microwave for 8 to 10 minutes to melt the cheese completely (Make sure you set your microwave timing to 5 minutes if your microwave has a quick heating).
Meanwhile, you chop the jalapenos neatly in equal sizes.
When cheese is melted in microwave, put chopped jalapenos in it and blend it well (Ensure that you put jalapenos as per your taste. If you can't eat spicy then put fewer jalapenos)
Leave a mixture of cheese and jalapenos in refrigerator for 10 minutes and let it cool down (Note the timing as per your refrigerator's cooling if it's too cold then just leave it for 5 minutes).
Meanwhile, you start preparing flour, egg dips, and breadcrumbs. (Put salt in breadcrumbs as per your taste).
Now take out mixture of cheese & jalapenos then muddle up well with spoon and making small equal size dough (For better taste and proper frying make sure you make small dough)
Dip each ball in egg and mix with flour then once more dip into egg and lastly mix with breadcrumbs. (To make the outer layer nice and crispy make sure you dip the balls second time into the egg then again into the Breadcrumbs and roll them properly for good coat).
(For Vegetarian: Instead of egg yolk you can you 1 teaspoon of baking soda and 1 tablespoon of vinegar. This mixture is used as an egg yolk substitute)
Warm the oil at 380 degrees in frying pan, Once the oil is hot start frying all the cheesy bites/nuggets for 2 minutes until balls turned golden brown. (Make sure you don't fry with wet hands and use all dry utensils)
Drain all Chilli Cheese Bites/Nuggets on an absorbent towel or paper tissue. (Ensure that you utilize good quality absorbent towel or paper tissue to avoid sticking paper particle on Cheese Bites/Nuggets)
Garnish chilli cheese bites/nuggets with cilantro leaves and serve them with mayonnaise and tomato ketchup.
Suggestions & Tips
- Don't fry more than 2 minutes.
- Don't add milk or water in flour.
- Don't add too much salt
- Serve hot for best taste.
- Serve hot for good and delicious taste.
- For delicious taste serve with mayonnaise or marinara sauce.
• Never fill an oil in the pan more than one-third
• When the fryer is on never leave it unattended
• To prevent oil splashing, ensure that food or utensils are dry before putting into boiling oil
• Before putting the food in hot oil, check the oil temperature by putting slice of bread and if bread turns golden grown quickly then oil is ready
• Don't move the fryer when it is hot
• Don't splash water on hot oil
• Keep children away from hot pan
