How to Prepare Green Tea at Home

Green tea is rated as best tea by many nutritionists because of its unique health benefits for mental health, nervous system, metabolism, hormones, cardiovascular system, and for its anti-cancer properties. Green tea is available in all shops, but it is best purchased from Chinese herb shops. There you can find the fresh Green Tea, namely "Zhu Ye Qing Green Tea", which is harvested only once a year. That is the best type of all green teas.


  1. Put one teaspoon of green tea in a 200ml cup of water.
  2. Fill 1/3 of the cup with bottled water
  3. Fill the rest with boiled water
  4. Let rest for 35-40 min
  5. Filter and drink slowly

To get the best results drink from 2 to 3 cups during the day. It is not recommended to drink green tea before bed, because it contains caffeine that is known to cause sleeping problems.

Green tea is also better consumed without sugar because sugar will cancel its weight loss benefits. Green tea naturally tastes good so there is no need to add sugar, honey or milk. Just enjoy the rich taste of this high-quality tea.

When to Consume

Green Tea is best consumed before meals and on empty stomach. Preferably one cup early in the morning. It absorbs into our bloodstream much faster when consumed on an empty stomach.

Drink one cup at a time. Too much of everything, no matter how healthy, is bad.

For or people with chronic diseases it is advised to consume at least three cups per day.
