Pork Adobo with rice
How to cook the dish
A very tasty Filipino Dish that gives a lovely twist on Pork.
Ingredients to serve 6 people:
1 kilogram of pork (cut into cubes )
50 ml of Soy sauce
Juice of half a lemon
2 cloves of garlic (finely chopped)
50 grams of dried lily flowers ( optional)
1 big onion (chopped into cubes)
I cup water
1 teaspoon peppercorn
3 tablespoon olive oil
100 grams of brown sugar
In a large saucepan combine all the ingredients above and bring to the boil and then simmer on a low heat with the lid on, stirring occasionally.
Add additional water if it looks too dry
Simmer for 25 minutes and serve with rice and enjoy
