Ingredients

  • ¼ cup Butter
  • 500 grams Paneer or cottage cheese, (cut to small pieces)
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • 2 Green Cardamoms
  • 3 Cloves
  • 8-10 Pepper corns
  • 1 inch Cinnamon stick
  • 2 teaspoon Ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 Red chilli, (Broken)
  • 2 cup Tomato Puree
  • 1 tablespoon Red chilli powder
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • 1 cups Water
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar or Honey
  • ½ teaspoon Kasoori methi
  • 1 cup Fresh cream
  • Coriander leaves, (for garnishing)

Instructions

  1. Take a microwave bowl and put ¼ cup butter and place the bowl in the oven for 30 seconds to melt.
  2. When the butter got melted add Bay leaf, green cardamom, cloves, pepper corns, cinnamon stick red chilli and ginger garlic paste in the bowl and mix well.
  3. Then place the bowl in the oven for 3 minutes.
  4. When the ingredients got cooked, add tomato puree, red chilli powder, salt, garam masala powder, sugar and water. Mix all the ingredients well and place in the oven for 8-10 minutes.
  5. When all the ingredients are cooked put the cut paneer pieces in side the same oven bowl and sprinkle ½ teaspoon of kasoori methi. Then place the bowl in the oven for 2 minutes to cook the paneer pieces.
  6. When you find the paneer pieces got cooked, pour 1 cup fresh milk cream and place the bowl in the oven for 2 minutes.
  7. Take the bowl out of the oven and stir the cooked paneer makhani.
  8. Salt and spice can be added extra depending on your taste. When added extra at the end it has to be cooked atleast for 2 minutes.
  9. Garnish the dish with fresh coriander leaves.
  10. Paneer makhani can be served hot with Indian roti, naan, chapatti or parata..
