Yields: Serves two to three people

Ingredients for Marinating:

  • 3 tablespoon Yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Fenugreek leaves
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger-Garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 2 tablespoon Mustard oil

Ingredients

  • 400 grams Paneer or cottage cheese, (Cut in to 1 inch cubes)
  • 1 Onion, (cut in to 1 inch pieces and separate the layers)
  • 1 Tomato, (Remove the pulp and juice in the centre and cut in to 1 inch pieces)
  • ½ Capsicum, (cut in to 1 inch pieces)

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl or vessel and put all the marinating ingredients, one by one.
  2. Mix well and keep the marinating paste aside.
  3. Now put the chopped onions, tomato, capsicum, paneer in the marinating paste and mix well. Then keep them aside to marinate for half an hour.
  4. After marinating, skewer the marinated onion, tomato, capsicum, paneer on the satay sticks as shown in the picture.
  5. In a grill pan pour 2 tablespoon of oil and allow to heat in medium flame.
  6. Place the paneer skewers on it and cook for 2 minutes each side.
  7. Pour little oil in the sides, now and then; while cooking.
  8. Paneer pieces should turn golden brown.
  9. Carefully shift the cooked paneer skewers from the pan and place on a serving plate.
  10. Garnish with fresh chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with tomato ketchup.
