Updated on December 4, 2014

Greek Pasta Salad

Pasta salads are yummy and can contain a variety of foods that add color, texture and flavors. I used to think that making pasta salads were hard to do until I tried to make my own one day and was surprised at how good it tasted. They are easy to make and take only minutes to prepare, of course this is dependent upon the amount and type of ingredients that are being combined with the pasta. This recipe will be a great addition to your cook book and to your dinner table1 I will provide you with an ingredient list and directions so that you can try this recipe for yourself!

Ingredient

  1. 1 box of fusilli pasta ( your brand of choice)
  2. 2 cans of black olives( your brand of choice)
  3. ½ tsp of dried red pepper flake( use at your own desecration)
  4. 3 chicken breast, sliced in 4 inch pieces
  5. Salt and fresh ground black pepper
  6. Fresh Feta cheese
  7. Fresh Parmesan cheese
  8. 1- 2 cans of diced tomatoes
  9. 1 can of capers
  10. ½ cup of Olive oil

Directions

Now pour some of your olive oil in to your sautéed pan and turn on the heat, then make sure that your sliced chicken is seasoned with salt and fresh black ground pepper. Now place your chicken into the pan and let it cook until well done. Meanwhile, cook your pasta by following the directions on the box and once it is finished cooking set it aside in a large bowl. Next on your chicken to make sure that it is not over cooking, so once it is done turn off the heat. Now drain the cans of capers, olives (rinse offs the olives because they can be a little bit salty) and tomatoes, and then pour these items into your pasta salad. Next, add your chicken to your pasta mix in the red pepper flakes and feta cheese. Now drizzle the rest of your olive oil over your pasta salad then mix it in your salad. Then top your pasta with shredded parmesan cheese and viola your Greek pasta salad is ready to eat. I sometimes take crusty bread and drizzle olive oil it with a dash of black pepper which adds to this great meal. I really do hope that you enjoy this version of a Greek Pasta salad!!
