Meatball Parmesean Hero's

There are so many ways to make Meatballs that everyone has there own style. I like to make mine in the crockpot so they can simmer all day and be steaming hot when ready to serve. Now toast your bread and add steaming hot meatballs add your cheese and serve.

Meatball Parmesean Hero

Cook time: 2 hours 30 min
Ready in: 3 hours
Yields: Serves six people 1 Sandwich each

Ingredients

  • 1-2 pounds Lean Ground Sirloin
  • 1-1/2 cups italian style breadcrumbs
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, chopped
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 packages onion soup mix
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 onion, chopped
  • 1/4 Green Pepper, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon adobo
  • 1 large jar Spaghetti sauce, your choice or homemade if you like. I like the Francesco Rinaldi
  • 1 large loaf Seasame French Bread
  • Shredded Mozzarella Cheese, 6 cheese italian can be used
  • Shredded Provolone, 6 cheese italian can be used

Preparation and Cooking Instructions

  1. First get your utensils you will need, a chopping board, and good knife, a large bowl, a large frying pan, a crock pot(if you don't have you may substitute with a large pot with a good lid)
  2. Chop your onions, peppers and garlic and place in a small bowl
  3. In Large bowl add your meat, and chopped onions, peppers and garlic, mix well,
  4. Add dry seasonings,bread crumbs and 2 eggs mix well
  5. Start rolling mixture into balls approximately 1-1/2 inches (you may make bigger or smaller to your liking)
  6. Place meatballs in large frying pan on medium temp and brown until browned on all sides
  7. Add sauce to crockpot or pot and start heating on low
  8. once all meatballs are browned add to sauce in crock pot
  9. Let meatballs cook in crockpot for about 2-1/2 hours on high then turn back to low until ready to serve
  10. cut open bread add meatballs, sprinkle cheese on top use as much as you like and put in oven to toast until bread is golden brown and cheese melted.
