Italian Herb Baked Chicken

There is nothing better than hanging out over a friend’s house eating good food especially Italian food and that what I was doing this weekend went to a friend’s house and enjoyed some great Italian pasta and some very tasty veal with tomato gravy it was so good that when I woke up this morning I still had a taste for Italian on my mind so I wanted to make some simple but good Italian food I grab the chicken that had de-frosted in the refrigerator and stated put some spices together to make a really tasty Italian herb chicken that I am sure you’re going to love if you try it for yourself.

Italian Herb Baked Chicken

Ingredients

2 Tablespoons of salt-free Italian seasoning

2 tablespoons of seasoning salt

1 teaspoon of garlic powder

1 teaspoon of onion powder

1 teaspoon of cracked black pepper

1 4 to 5 pound whole chicken/clean and ready to be cooked

1/3 cup of Import extra virgin olive oil

Methods

Using a small bowl combine Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and cracked pepper at this point take your olive oil and rub it all over the chicken and inside the chicken also if you can get under the skin you can rub the olive oil under there also. Then take you seasoning and rub the mixture all over the whole chicken and add some to the cavity also then add the seasoning salt into the cavity also the front and back of the cavity and make sure you rub it into the chicken the more you rub the better it penetrate the chicken.

Place the oven on 325 degrees

Using your roasting pan place the chicken in the roasting pan skin side down and let it cook like this for 12 to 15 minutes at the point turn the chicken over making it breast side up and place the chicken back into the oven and let it bake for another 45 minutes or until the chicken reaches a temperature 175 degrees with a thermal meter inserted into the thigh of juices run clear when poked with a fork at this point you can remove and let it rest for 15 minutes before cutting then serve with some roasted vegetables and enjoy.
