Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza

What kid doesn't love cheeseburgers? And what kid doesn't LOVE pizza?? Well,with this recipe you can keep the kids happy and give them BOTH,in one dinner!

Yields: 6 servings


  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 package (1/4 oz.) quick rise yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound 90% lean round beef
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 jar (10 ounces) sun dried tomato pesto
  • 1 red onion (large), chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh bacon bits
  • 1 cup (4 ounces) mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup (4 ounces) sharp cheddar cheese, shredded


  1. Combine 2 cups of flour,sugar,salt,and yeast in a bowl. Add in oil and water. Form a firm dough,adding flour only as needed.
  2. Put your dough onto a lightly floured surface,to prevent sticking while forming the dough. Knead the dough until smooth and elastic,or about 6 to 8 minutes. Cover and let sit for 10 minutes.
  3. While dough is resting,cook your beef,garlic,and pepper over medium heat until meat is browned. Drain.
  4. Using a floured surface,roll pizza dough into a 15 inch circle. Carefully move dough onto a 14 inch greased pizza pan. Pinch the edges of the crust slightly,building a sort of wall so toppings don't escape. Prick the dough numerous times with a fork. Bake at 450 degrees for 5 to 8 minutes,until browned lightly.
  5. Remove the crust from the oven,and sprinke crust with parmesan cheese. Top with pesto,meat mixture,onion,bacon bits,and cheeses. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes,until cheese is melted.
