There is more and more evidence that including Olive Oil in your diet and with loads of fruits and vegetables can lower your glycemic index and send you packing to a more healthy you.
Go ahead and have that red wine in moderation.
Lean meats such as fish and chicken are welcome. Just by avoiding fattier red meats you are already on the road.
Go ahead and include walnuts in that salad and make a fabulous balsamic vinaigrette and the mediterranean coast is as close as your dining room table.
Legumes will also give you great protein to live on. I love a chilled navy bean salad with lemon olive oil and sage. A touch of salt and pepper for flavor and you are on your way.
This way of eating will fill you up and get your system revved and make you oh so happy you traveled to the Med.
