A favorite food item

'Right of the bat', I could say that the food item that I enjoyed the most from Marco's Pizza Fast Food Restaurant was the Italiano sandwich.

Right off the bat

The Italiano Sandwich Served at Marco's Pizza Restaurant

So fresh

Fresh, tart, tangy and tasty, the Italiano sandwich, served at Marco's Pizza Restaurant, included among its ingredients :

  • cheese,
  • salami,
  • lettuce,
  • tomato slices,
  • and pickled pepperoncini, the yellow green pepper slices commonly used in Italian cuisine, pictured on the sandwich in the food photo above
  • There was that vinegar flavor that I often enjoy on various sandwiches.

An extra kick of flavor

I loved that kick of extra flavor that the pepperoncini added to the hot and tasty Italian sandwich!

Average cost

The Italiano sandwich at Marco's Pizza fast food pizza restaurant costs around $8.

What compares?

Marco's Pizza restaurant is very comparable to pizza restaurant franchises such as Hungry Howie's Pizza restaurant but Hungry Howie's Pizza restaurant has more eyecatching and kid friendly marketing materials included in its logo and color coordination for example (utilizing an animated character & bright colors such as yellow on menus, pizza boxes, store signs & more).

In contrast, Marco's Pizza Restaurant simplifies things with more plain packaging.

Sharing is caring!

Our family often shares up various food items from restaurants so that we can all get a taste of everything, so I did try the meatball sandwich pictured above as well.

The meatball sandwich from Marco's Pizza Restaurant was also very tasty with a generous amount of cheese and tomato sauce.

The meatballs themselves were delicious. They were very good.

Like the Italiano sandwich, the meatball sandwich from Marco's Pizza Restaurant is also sold for approximately $8.

A variety of food items

Our family has eaten food from Marco's Pizza Restaurant only once so far, but we purchased quite a bit of food and quite a variety of food items while there.

Marco's Pizza

We also dined in at Marco's Pizza Restaurant at lunch time that day and brought some leftover food home to re-heat and eat at dinner time on the same day.

Atmosphere

The atmosphere inside of the Marco's Pizza Restaurant location that we visited in Greensboro, North Carolina was average in terms of comfort, cleanliness and general atmosphere.

There were two large flat screen televisions mounted on either side of the Marco's Pizza Restaurant and they were on to provide the restaurant customers with some television entertainment.

There were just a few other restaurant patrons inside of this Marco's Pizza Restaurant location at the same time that we were there.

The restaurant was not crowded at all but while we were there, Marco's Pizza Restaurant delivery drivers were coming in and out, reporting back to the restaurant location to pick up outgoing orders and leaving again.

They seemed to be very busy, transporting many large food orders.

Looking through the front entrance glass doors and windows from our table inside of the restaurant, we could see a Marco's pizza delivery car parked in the parking lot with prominent rooftop Marco's Pizza signage on display.

At this Marco's Pizza Restaurant North Elm Street restaurant location in Greensboro, North Carolina, there was a mother/daughter team working at the cashier counter at the restaurant that day. One of my sons was fascinated by this!

When the younger of the two ladies called out, "Hey, Mom!" to get the attention of the other one, my observant young son noted this with a big grin on his face and excitedly told me, "They are mother and daughter!!"

As we paid for our food at Marco's Pizza Restaurant, I let the mother/daughter team know how tickled my son was and how he thought that it was really cool that they worked together at the same place.

Later, my son & I also discussed that this is one of those businesses with franchise opportunities and while I was not sure that the mother/daughter team were the franchise owners at this particular Marco's Pizza restaurant location, often times family members do work together in family businesses as we'd often talked about in the past.

We have visited numerous family owned and operated businesses but yes, I guess that was the first time that my son had heard one worker telling another, "Hey, Mom!"

      Hi Ms. Peggy,

Thanks so much for commenting on this pizza restaurant review hub.

I'm glad to show my enthusiasm for a good sandwich. Hehe. :)

Yes, I agree. Most of the fast food pizza restaurants do generally seem to have lots more pick up / takeout orders & delivery orders than dine-in orders.

I hope that you're doing well. Take care of yourself!

I think that most pizza places probably have many more delivery and takeout orders than seated customers in the store, so I am not surprised that the site was not packed with customers. We have never eaten in a pizza place like Marcos, or Pizza Hut, or other similar ones. We have also never eaten a sandwich from one of them. You obviously like the sandwiches. Good job on the review.
