And here is the recipe for the creamy mastiha with strawberries and mint: Ingredients for 6 people:

  • 5 yolks
  • 140 g of granulated sugar
  • ½ dl of water
  • 1 dl of mastiha
  • 3 dl of whipping cream Accardi
  • 500 g of strawberries
  • 1 bunch of mint

Preparation:

Separate the yolks and put them in a bowl of a planetary mixer. Then beat them with the sugar cooked with water at 121 °. Whip everything until it cools. Add the mastiha and the semi-whipped cream, so you will get a rather liquid dough. Pour the dough, dividing it into the single-portion moulds and place them in the freezer.

Cut the strawberries into wedges. Then chop the mint leaves julienne and add them to the strawberries, leaving everything to marinate for about 30 minutes. After the rest time, take the semifreddo from the moulds and pour them into the serving dish. Serve it all with the strawberries flavoured with mint.
