Brownie in a mug recipe

Updated on August 24, 2012

Quick and Yummy Brownie

Did you know that cooking is a great craft for you to do with your children? Sure to be a hit!

I use to do preschool out of my home many years ago and every Friday the kids and I would cook. I would let them help me measure, spoon, crack eggs, roll, cut, and stir as we put our recipe together. It is a great time to practice counting skills. I have a recipe to share that is awesome to make with our children. It is a Brownie in a mug and is extremely easy and very yummy! So the next time you have a blah blah rainy day with nothing to do, you can make one of these goodies. For Momma it’s a quick fix if you are craving a jolt of chocolate or a bit of sweetness. Most of the ingredients are staples you most likely have in your pantry. Let each child make their own right in the coffee mug.

This is a fabulous idea for a Birthday, give each child a cup painted with chalk board paint, with the recipe for the Coffee mug brownie on the mug.

      Viking,

It is very delicious as my 5 yr old grand daughter told me yesterday when she and I made one.We only had whip cream on top, but I see choc chips and a scoop of vanilla on it in my not to distant future.

      take care

Gail, thanks for reminding me of this super-easy brownie for one. Lost my own recipe years ago. It's even easier if you measure the dry ingredients for single servings into Ziploc sandwich bags and keep them handy.

I've been craving my own version of Death By Chocolate - definitely NOT for dieters or diabetics - which is built thus: brownie with nuts...spread with chocolate frosting out of a can...ADD a scoop of chocolate ice cream...and a "healthy" drizzle of chocolate syrup.

If you aren't carted off to the ER for OD-ing on chocolate, this version of DBC will cure a chocolate craving for WEEKS! ;D
