Mincemeat bars are easy to make and are something a little different to add to your Christmas line-up of favorite treats to bake for the Holidays.

Sinfully rich: soft mincemeat centers and a delicious butter-based crumbly topping.
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 cup sifted flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 3/4 cup rolled oats
- 1 jar of mincemeat
How to Make Mincemeat Bars
- Cream butter thoroughly
- Stir in brown sugar
- Add vanilla
- Add, flour, baking powder and salt (sifted together)
- Add rolled oats
Mix ingredients thoroughly.
- Take half of mixture and pat into a buttered 9 x 13" pan
- Spread with mincemeat
- Crumble the remaining dry mixture and sprinkle over the mincemeat
- Gently press into place
Bake mincemeat bars in a 325-degree oven for 25 minutes, reducing heat, if necessary, to avoid over-browning.
