The Best Hamburger in Pflugerville, TX: Moonie's Burger House

I love locally owned establishments but I love good food even more.

While even the locals have a hard time pronouncing the town's name, you won't have any problem finding Moonie's Burger House in Pflugerville.

It must have been meant to be when my kids pointed out the bright blue building with 'Burger House' painted in bright yellow letters on the front of it. We had a couple of hours to kill before our movie just down the road so I thought 'what the heck', we have time; even if the place is slow to serve.

First mistake, never make snap judgements about the little guys ... they are often times faster than the big guys.

By the time we placed our orders at the front, filled our cups with drinks and found a comfortable booth to sit; our food came not too long after and was delivered to our table. There was no listening for a number to be called while the food sits under the heat lamp.

The food brought to the table is steamy, hot and fresh ~ and with a smile!

BURGERS: Of course you can have a juicy "Plain Jane hamburger on the sweetest bun you'll ever lay teeth into but why stop there?

You'll find other options for your burger too. Some of my family favorites are the bacon cheeseburger, a Swiss & mushroom burger and a crumbled blue cheese burger topped with red onion.

Some not so traditional options made the menu too:

A chili cheese burger complete with Frito chips!

A very Texas BBQ sauce burger!

And you'll even find a little but of Hawaii with the grilled pineapple rings and teriyaki.

CHICKEN SANDWICHES: You'll also find your choice of chicken sandwiches made with the same toppings and flavors as the burgers.

SALADS: The green and healthy made the menu too. With a traditional garden salad or a buffalo chicken salad; you have your choice of dressing and don't forget to top with fresh Parmesan!

Best FRIES ever! I love fries but these are the crunchiest and freshest I've tasted in a long time! They also have sweet potato fries that my nephew really likes.

ALL YOU CAN DRINK SODA AND TEA!!

Those aren't the only drink options so no worries.

You'll also find apple juice, milk, water, malts, and slushies.
