PA Dutch BBQ Beef Sandwiches

This recipe has been in my family for generations. It is a wonderful sandwich to eat with potato chips.

This recipe easily doubles, triples, etc.

Mouth Watering PA Dutch BBQ Beef Sandwich


Cook Time

Prep time: 5 min
Cook time: 2 hours
Ready in: 2 hours 5 min
Yields: About 8 sandwiches


  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1/2 cup Ketchup
  • 2 Tbs Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tbs White Vinegar
  • 2 tsp Mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 small Onion (finely chopped), or 2 tsp onion powder if don't want onion
  1. Brown beef (don't fully cook) with onions (or onion powder)
  2. Add all of the other ingredients
  3. Stew on low for 2 or more hours

      I did put it on regular white bread in the picture, that's the way my kids like it. I put it on a bun. We make this a lot, it is easy and delicious. :)
