Mutton Roast

Mutton with potatoes


Boneless mutton:1Kg

Ginger garlic paste:1 tbsp

Vinegar:3 tbsp

Worchestire sauce:3 tbsp

Tomato sauce:4 tbsp

Salt and pepper to taste

Cornflour:2 tbsp

Potatoes:250gms(peeled and cut into big slices)



Fry the potatoes in oil till crisp.

Remove them from oil and keep aside.

In the same oil fry mutton on all sides to golden brown.

Add ginger garlic paste and fry for sometime.

Add vinegar,sauces and sufficient water to it.

Cover the mutton with salt and pepper.

Cook till the meat is tender.

Dissolve cornflour in one cup of water and add it to the mutton.Cook for 5 minutes.

Add potatoes and cook till gravy is thick.

Now slice the mutton like bread pieces.

Arrange it into an oval shaped flat dish and coat it with the gravy.

Arrange potatoes in the center and the edges with tomatoes,beetroot,carrot,lime and onion slices.Sprinkle greens on top.

Serve with butter bread.

Make a note:The roast can be used in sandwiches and burgers too.
