Mouthwatering Chili
This is my easy and delicious recipe for a meat chili. I've tried many chili recipe's in my time and this is my 'go to' choice. My family loves the combination of fresh vegetables, spices and beef. Try this tasty recipe for your family and you can be sure it will become one of their favorite meals. It's a great choice during the cold winter months, although anytime is a good excuse to make homemade chili.

Definition of Chili
Chili con Carne: commonly known in American English as simply "chili", is a spicy stew containing chili peppers, meat (usually beef), and often tomatoes and beans. Other seasonings may include garlic, onions, and cumin. Geographic and personal tastes involve different types of meat and ingredients. Recipes provoke disputes among aficionados, some of whom insist that the word "chili" applies only to the basic dish, without beans and tomatoes. Chili con Carne is a frequent dish for cook-offs and is used as an ingredient in other dishes.

I like the look of it and it seems easy to make.
Thanks Linda, for sharing.
Not at all. Especially not in chili. :)
No, I like ground chix, but Ive never been fond of ground turkey. I use something called "meal starter" it's a ground beef sub.
Oh my gosh, I have to have chili tonight now, thanks to you. lol
I use a ground beef substitute, but it works just the same. :)
Wow... This recipe is simply amazing. Thanks for sharing. Voted up and awesome.
This chili looks great. The recipe is a bit different from mine, so I have copied it and will give it a try. Thanks.
Scrumptious-diddley-umptious! I love chill and this looks totally delicious. Can't wait to make it. :)
That does look delicious! It's very similar to the way my grandmother made hers. I've made it a few times but can't seem to perfect hers. I used to look forward to fall for making chili. Now here it is October 7 and is so humid and hot outside. Normally around here this would at least be sweatshirt/lightweight coat weather. We're having salad tonight. Everyone is in short sleeves. The dogs don't even want to go out because they are so hot.
Wow! Your chili looks so delicious that it got my taste buds watering.
Thanks for sharing this recipe. I love chili on cool days. We're still having a summer heat wave in fall, so I'll wait awhile before trying this recipe out.
Voted up across the board except for funny and shared.
It is that time of year again and I have already enjoyed a few cups of chili. Your photos make your recipe look very yummy. I can't wait to try it next time we hit a cold spell in Florida... heck, I can't wait that long -- I will probably just make it this weekend!
What a lovely recipe, Linda, and the mushrooms are a tasty, yummy addition. Thank you.

This looks and sounds delicious. You know I have never thought to have scoop chips with chili, I know that would be so good and fun to eat. Not having to bake cornbread would be nice too, thanks! Up and sharing.
