My Recipe For Meatloaf

Updated on January 20, 2011

  • 2lbs ground beef
  • half onion chopped
  • 1/2 cup green onions chopped
  • 1 cup bread crumbs or crackers
  • 1/4 cup Heinz 57 sauce
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 eggs beaten

Direction: preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a large mixing bowl mix ground beef and onions , eggs mix well. then in small bowl mix together Heinz, ketchup, and brown sugar. Mix into the rest and add bread crumbs and form into a loaf. Save some ketchup and Heinz, brown sugar for the top of the meatloaf spread evenly. Cook for 45 minutes. You can use a roasting pan so the meat won't sit in the oil.

This brings back memories of my mothers wonderful meatloaf. I have to admit I haven't made any in awhile but your hub speaks to me and I have it on my list for this coming week. I haven't tried Heinz 57 sauce in the recipe. This must give it a spicy twist? Great hub!

This sounds amazing. I've never used brown sugar before but I bet that gives it a great flavor.

      Definitely book-marking this recipe.
