Mix corn meal and french fried onions together and sit to the side.

Take fish or chicken and put in a bowl and pour the olive oil over the fish or chicken, coating it well.

Then take fish or chicken and add all of your seasonings spices and cover fish or chicken well.

Take fish and coat it with corn meal and french fried onions or flour with french fried onions for chicken, until all fish or chicken is well coated and put it on a oiled cookie sheet or dish and bake @400 degrees for 30 to 40 or until golden brown and remove from the oven.

Chicken should be cook for about and hour or until done and light golden brown, you might have turn the broiler on to get it a darker brown but be careful not to burn it.

You can serve this oven fried fish or chicken hot with fries or creamery coleslaw, you can't tell it's not fried, I promise you.

This Hub has been an answer to a prayer because I was trying to figure out what to take out the freezer (chicken/fish) and how I was going to prepare it. This recipe works especially since I really don't want to cook...thx much

I needed this sooo bad. I tried the French Onion receipe on the back of the container and it was putrid. But with the addition of the corn meal or flour this sounds doable and delicious.

Plus a healthier alternative to fried foods. Thank you for sharing, voted up, marked useful, interesting, book marked and shared!
