Pakorra recipe

Updated on December 21, 2011

I remember when I was a kid and I would come home from a long day at school, my mom would bring me steaming plate of mouth watering pakorras. I just loved this dish. And still it's always yummy to have spicy pakorras. It's an easy and simple recipe lemme share it here:

Ingredients:

Gram flour .....................2 cups

Onions...................................................... 2 cut in slices

Spring onions.............................................. 1 Chopped

Potatoes..................................................... 1 big cut as finger chips but very fine

Cumin......................................................... 1 tbsp

Red chilli powder.......................................... 1 tbsp

Salt................................................................ As per taste

Fresh Coriander leaves................................. A handful Chopped

Fresh mint leaves............................................ 6-7 Chopped

Green chillies...................................................6-7 Chopped

Garlic paste......................................................1 tbsp

Baking soda......................................................1 pinch

Turmeric powder................................................. 1/2 tbsp

Oil for frying

Method:

1-Take gram flour in a bowl and mix with water. Keep mixing till it becomes a smooth paste. (Tip: Take it on finger and drop in water, if drop comes at surface it means paste is ready).

2- Now add Vegetables and spices and mix well.

3- Take a wok and heat the oil. Now take mixture on spoon and drop in wok one by one. Fry on medium heat.

Crispy pakorras are ready.
