Pasta Treats at Home

Pasta is a staple food of traditional Italian Cuisine, However, today it is popular around the world and is consumed in large quantities and varieties. It comes in two forms - dry pasta and fresh pasta. Most dried pasta is commercially produced via an extrusion process. Fresh pasta was traditionally produced by hand, sometimes with the aid of simple machines but today many varieties of fresh pasta are also commercially produced by large-scale machines, and the products are widely available in supermarkets. Both dried and fresh pasta come in a number of shapes and varieties, with 310 specific forms known variably by over 1300 names having been documented. Pasta is generally served with some type of sauce. The sauce and the type of pasta are usually matched based on consistency and ease of eating. FUSILLI GARDEN SALAD

CREAMY TOMATO TORTELLINI SOUP

Preparation Time

40 minutes

Ingredients

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 onion

3 cloves garlic

2 bay leaves

2 tomatoes

3-4 Basil leaves

1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt

Vegetable broth

Grated Parmesan cheese

2 packages fresh or frozen cheese tortellini

Preparation Time

1 capsicum, tomato, onion & yellow bell pepper

1 packet macaroni

Pepper as per taste

Mozzarella cheese

Some baby corn

GRILLED CHICKEN LINGUINE

Preparation Time

45 minutes

Ingredients

1 teaspoon chopped fresh garlic

3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

2 skinned chicken breasts

7-8 Fresh spinach leaves

3/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

25 ounce jar marinara pasta sauce

1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

1 cup part-skim ricotta cheese

1 pound dried penne pasta

1/2 teaspoon dried basil
