Pecan Bundt Cake

A moist delicious Pecan Cake
A moist delicious Pecan Cake

Easy Recipes

This morning was rainy and cold, so I decided to bake my husband his favorite pecan cake. This is so simple to make and always turns out perfect.

  • 1 box butter pecan cake mix
  • ¾ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 can coconut pecan frosting mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup pecan pieces

Spray Bundt pan with nonstick cooking spray. Combine all ingredients in large bowl, including frosting mix and mix well.

Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. It will be brown and you can use a toothpick to double check.

You can make a glaze with confectioner sugar and a little milk but the pecan cake is so moist it doesn't really need a glaze.

The recipe works well with lemon cake mix and lemon frosting as well, without the pecans of course. Use about 7/8 cup of water rather than a full cup, as the lemon frosting in thinner than the coconut pecan frosting. It is also good with strawberry and chocolate, following the same recipe as the lemon. I do make a glaze with confectioner sugar and lemon juice to enhance the lemon flavor. See picture below.

I don't think baking a cake can get simpler than this recipe. It stays moist longer than your average cake also. Enjoy!

Gog oh God oh God, even a ordinary cake recipe sets you off. Why don't you face who got you and the rest of us into that mess. What about that guy Brown you voted in and was posting nude in a magazine. I don't call that a man with principles and wouldn't give him a vote.

Yummy. I think dropping chocolate on it would be good too ;)

I don't bake anylonger-kids all maybe ya could pass a bit of this over to me through my screen..(I have my own chocolate) I am going to jot it down, seems easy to make anyway. Who knows, I may bake me a treat instead of buying from the store one of these days!

Thank you all for your comments. I think you will enjoy the cake if you try it.

Patriot, You've got the recipe so maybe you might need to do the mailing of the package. I don't think anything will shut him up anyway. You'd think he would fire Geithner but he hasn't. I rewrote my hub for him after researching his background and he has been a little shady for a long time.

One Suggestion, quadruple the peanut butter and send one to the president. Maybe it’ll stick his mouth together for awhile and shut him up. That way the stock market could recover and some of us would begin earning back the hundreds of thousands we have lost under this Arrogant Clown!
