Pecan Pumpkin Butter Squares


  • 1 (18.25 oz) yellow cake mix- (set aside 1 cup)
  • 1/2 cup butter, (melted)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 (13.5 oz) jar pecan pumpkin butter
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, (softened)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon


  1. Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F. Grease & flour a 9x13 in pan.
  2. Place all but 1 cup of cake mix in mixing bowl. Stir 1/2 cup melted butter and 1 egg in until combined.
  3. Press mixture into bottom of pan
  4. In another bowl, mix pumpkin butter with 2 eggs and milk until combined. Then spread pumpkin mixture over pressed cake mix.
  5. Mix in a separate bowl reserved 1 cup of cake mix with flour, sugar , remaining 1/4 cup butter and cinnamon. Once the mix is crumbly, sprinkle over top of pumpkin layer.
  6. Bake for 35 min or until golden brown.

This recipe serves 24 2" squares.

This desert taste delicious and is very easy to make. I don't remember where i obtained this recipe ,but my family is very grateful that i did.
