Pie , Oh So Wonderful Pie

Updated on March 30, 2014

Just What Do You Know About Pie

First off let me tell you that January 22 is National Pie Day. Did you know that pie can be traced all the way back to the time of the Egyptians. During that time pies were made from goat cheese and honey.

The Europeans were already eating pie as far back as the 14th century and we can't forget that famous line about four and twenty black birds in a pie. Yes at one time pies were actually made with live birds in them and when the pie was cut open the birds flew away. Can you say wow. Well we aren't going to be making any blackbird pie here but we do have several delicious recipes for pie below.

It is believed that the Pennsylvania Dutch were the ones that developed the fruit pies with two crusts that we have now here in the United States. And if you want a really great recipe for Apple Pie you can find one of the best recipes ever for Apple Pie by CLICKING HERE.

If you check out all the links and pie recipes below I promise you that you'll fond some of the most delicious recipes for pie that you will ever taste. What's your favorite pie? Why not tell us all about it below in the comments section.

Impossible Brownie Pie Recipe

In my recipe for Impossible Brownie Pie what we are going to do is use a chocolate graham cracker crust for our pie. You can find them in any supermarket.

You will want to mix the below ingredients in a bowl with a hand mixer so your ingredients will be well mixed.

1. Four Large Eggs.

2. One Fourth Cup Melted Butter.

3. Four Ounces Melted Chocolate.

4. One Half Cup Light Brown Sugar.

5. One Half Cup Bisquick (TM) Baking Mix.

6. One Half Cup White Granulated Sugar.

7. One Half Cup Chopped Pecans. , Half Go In the mix and half on top.

You will want to preheat your oven to 350 degrees and get your chocolate graham cracker crust ready for filling by removing its wrappings so you can pour the above mixture into the chocolate graham cracker crust.

Put half the nuts into the mix and sprinkle the other half on top of the pie before you bake it. You will want to bake until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. It should take about 35 minutes. Let your pie cool slightly before you cut and serve. This pie is simply wonderful served with vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup.

This is one of the most wonderful delicious pies you will ever taste. Everyone that has ever tasted it says it is one of the best pies they have ever tasted.

Brownie Ice Cream Pie

Here again we are going to use a chocolate graham cracker pie crust already prepared so we don't have to worry about that step and I promise you this pie is so delicious it is almost sinful. For this pie what I suggest you do is purchase a box of walnut brownie mix and make it by the package directions and when cool cover the top of the walnut brownies with fudge frosting. Enjoy the brownies but save two cups to make this delicious pie with.

For The Brownie Ice Cream Pie You Will Need.

1. One Chocolate Graham Cracker Pie Crust.

2. Two Cups Chopped Up Walnut Brownies With Frosting.

3. 2 Cups Chocolate Ice Cream Softened.

Mix the brownies and softened ice cream up together well. Pour the mixture into the chocolate graham cracker pie shell and smooth down with a spoon.

Cover the top of the mixture with Cool Whip and smooth out. Place the pie into the freezer and allow to almost freeze before you cut into slices and serve. You can decorate the pie as in the above photo or how you choose.

Do you dream of chocolate. I know I do and this recipe for Chocolate Oreo Pie Is Oh So Delicious.

Chocolate Oreo Pie Recipe

Here is another really easy pie recipe that anyone can prepare in just a few minutes. What I suggest you use is either turtle tracks or moose tracks ice cream but you can use your favorite chocolate ice cream.

You will want to purchase a chocolate Oreo pie crust and in the bottom you want to fill almost to the top with your favorite brand of chocolate ice cream. Now on top of this you want to place a layer of vanilla ice cream and then a very thin layer of cool whip topping.

Place in the freezer and allow to freeze just to the point where you can cut into slices. Purchase a container of Hershey Chocolate Syrup and heat it when you are ready to serve. Cut a slice of your Chocolate Oreo Pie and place on a serving dish. Then drizzle with hot chocolate syrup and serve at once.

This is one of my all time favorite pies and I have also made my own crushed Oreo crust and made it in layers in a Spring Form Pan. You can really make some wonderful , delicious , and beautiful ice cream pies this way.

Have you ever made a pie in a Spring Form Pan? Its really quite easy and the presentation is just wonderful.
