In my last article we discussed the dangerous effects of pork. I closed my article off with saying I would talk to you all about GMOs, additives, and more. So let's take a look at the different effects of these ingredients with some highly credible sources.
I would like you all to look at the rates of obesity and mental health for yourself. Not pretty, is it? Well what if I told you that the food you eat is linked to it? We' need to take into account that what we put into our stomachs could be making us very sick physically and/or mentally.
It sends chemicals to your brain to make you think your food tastes better. It is a toxin that over excites your cells to dangerous levels that can lead to Parkinson's disease, brain damage, worsening learning disabilities, and Alzheimer's.
So MSG is responsible for two mental diseases, brain damage, and can even further progress a learning disability. So not only are you being cheated out of a good quality meal with is effects on making you think your food tastes better, but it is also harming your brain. Here are some foods that contain MSG (source).
- KFC Fried Chicken
- Chick-Fil-A Chicken Sandwich
- Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup
These are just a few examples. These simple food items contain an ingredient that leads to brain damage. I want you to keep in mind how simple these items are. They're something that almost everyone has had, is eaten daily, and you probably have some with you at this moment. Think about that as we go on.
Your food may contain Monosodium glutamate if it contains one or more of the following: MSG, Gelatin, Calcium Caseinate, Hydrolized Vegetable Protein (HVP), Textured Protein, Hydrolyzed Plant Protein, Monopotassium glutamate, Yeast Extract, Glutamate, Autolyzed Plant Protein, Yeast food or nutrient, Glutamic Acid, Sodium Caseinate, and Autolyzed Yeast
High Fructose Corn Syrup
- Destroys brain cells.
- Contributes more to insulin resistance and obesity than table sugar.
- Can cause impaired glucose resistance, high insulin levels, high triclycerides, fat deposits in your liver, build up of dangerous liver proteins, plaque buildup, narrowing of your blood vessels, and high blood pressure.
- It is also made from GMO corn (which we will cover shortly).
These side effects are not worth the taste. This is corn syrup we are talking about here, and it can do that much harm? It needs to be avoided. They can be found in; juice cocktails, breakfast cereal, salad dressings, breads and baked goods, yogurt, soda,nutrition bars, and candy. To see a few examples of brands, click here.

Now that you have seen the evidence, what can you do?
First I would ask you all to carefully look at what you are buying from the store, really look at the ingredients. How many of those ingredients do you recognize? Do you know what they are? If you do not know what ingredients are in your system and what their effects are then you could be heading for a world of trouble. Go in your kitchen and look at the ingredients. Divide necessities and junk food. You have to decide what is more important; your health or your pleasure. Is that bag of chips really worth the potential side effects?
Next I want you to consider growing your own fruits and vegetables and make your own food. It is not as hard as you might think. There are ways you can make homemade sodas, candies, and more. I may post some recipes soon when I get the chance. In the meantime here is something for you. Mix some lemon juice and warm water together. It tastes fantastic and it can clean your system out. Just don't drink it too much.
